Like meat pea cutlets. The rich table of the “poor” Jew.
500 g of dried peas,
100 g of bread,
a glass of milk,
big bulb,
2 eggs,
1-2 cloves of garlic,
0.25 cups of oil,
crushed rusks,
marjoram,
ground black pepper,
salt.
Peas soak for several hours (you can overnight). Drain the water, pour fresh and cook until soft. Add the bread soaked in milk, twist everything in a meat grinder.
Finely chop the onion, lightly fry and mix with peas. Add salt, marjoram, raw egg and mix well. Make round cutlets from the minced meat, soak each in a beaten egg, roll in breadcrumbs. Fry the cutlets, make sure they are well fried inside. Serve the cutlets with hot sauce and sauerkraut salad.
